Inside our monthly wine subscription: January 2026
Welcome to your insider notes on the wines we’re featuring in this month’s Vinito subscription. The January Vinito box has officially landed - and it’s all about easing into the new year with fresh flavours, easy sipping and a few new favourites.
Six cans. Three countries. Zero January judgement. Let’s take a look 👇
1. Italia Vino Frizzante, Chardonnay, Italy

- Tastes like: soft peach, ripe pear and gentle stone fruit with a delicate, creamy fizz that never overwhelms
- Pairs with: roast chicken, creamy pasta dishes, mushroom risotto or a simple plate of salty snacks
- Insider intel: "frizzante" means lightly sparkling - and this style sits perfectly between still and full-on fizz. Made from 100% Chardonnay, it's designed to be approachable, sessionable and quietly elegant.
- Food Pairing: crack this open with warm focaccia, olive oil and flaky salt - or a creamy burrata if you're feeling fancy
2. Lubanzi Chenin Blanc, South Africa

- Tastes like: green apple, passionfruit, lemon zest and a clean, mineral finish that keeps it refreshing
- Pairs with: seafood, salads, veggie currys and spicy dishes - this wine can handle the heat
- Insider intel: Lubanzi champions ethical sourcing and fair partnerships - every sip supports South African growers
- Try with: try with crispy tofu and a squeeze of lime - the acidity does all the heavy lifting
3. Canetta Vin Blanc, Penedès, Spain

- Tastes like: white flowers, dried apricot, citrus peel and a hint of white pepper
- Pairs with: mezze, seafood or herby roast chicken or lemony salads
- Insider intel: made by a female winemaker, Laura Brousset using classic Cava grapes but canned as a still, extremely approachable natural wine
- Snack sensation: embrace Spanish cuisine and go for a spread of marinated olives, almonds and anchovies

4. Attimo Craft Winery Refosco, Italy

- Tastes like: bright red berries up front followed by a peppery kick and smooth, structured tannins
- Pairs with: roasted veg, sausages or tomato-based pasta or pizza night
- Insider intel: Refosco is a lesser-known Italian grape that delivers freshness and spice. This gold medal-winning example proves you don’t need big, bold reds to get flavour
- Snack Hack: mushroom arancini or rosemary-laced potatoes
5. Hands Off The Red Wine, Spain

- Tastes like: ripe red fruit, liquorice, mint and wild herbs with a smooth, velvety finish
- Pairs with: tapas, grilled veg, veggie burgers or midweek pasta
- Insider intel: low-intervention winemaking lets the grape do the talking here. It’s fresh, expressive and dangerously easy to drink
- Food Pairing: pair with patatas bravas or grilled halloumi
6. Canned Wine Co. Old Vine Garnacha, Spain

- Tastes like: chocolate-coated cherries, cassis and vanilla spice, lifted by fresh acidity
- Pairs with: slow-cooked dishes, roasted aubergine or a good hard cheese
- Insider intel: old vines = fewer grapes and more flavour. Grown at altitude in Aragón, this Garnacha balances richness with freshness beautifully
- Snack pairing: cheddar, manchego or a slice of dark chocolate on the side
That’s a wrap for this month’s deep dive! Until next month, keep sipping, snacking, and discovering your new favourites.
