The Founding Story of Nice
Nice was founded in 2019 by Lucy Busk and Jeremy May after noticing the growing popularity of canned wine in the US. Inspired to bring a fresh, modern touch to the UK’s traditional wine scene, they started Nice with the aim of making wine feel less intimidating, more welcoming, and perfect for everyday moments. Today, it’s the UK’s fastest-growing canned wine brand, easily found at festivals, supermarkets, airlines, and stadiums.
The Origins of Nice Canned Wines

Côtes de Gascogne, France – Crisp Sauvignon Blanc
This southwest French region is celebrated for fresh, aromatic whites. With its ocean breezes and sunny climate, Côtes de Gascogne produces zesty Sauvignon Blanc packed with citrus and gooseberry notes, the perfect base for Nice’s crisp classic.

Mendoza, Argentina – Home of Malbec
Nestled in the foothills of the Andes, Mendoza is renowned globally for Malbec. The high-altitude vineyards, sunny days, and cool nights produce bold, fruity reds with smooth tannins and lively character, just like Nice’s juicy Malbec.

La Mancha, Spain – Sparkling Airén
As Europe’s largest wine region, La Mancha is famous for its rolling plains and vast vineyards. The native Airén grape offers freshness and light fruity aromas, making it the perfect choice for Nice’s bubbly, easy-drinking Sparkling White.

Languedoc, France – Bright & Easy Rosé
One of the oldest wine regions in France, Languedoc is famous for its Mediterranean sunshine and relaxed charm. The Grenache grapes flourish here, producing delicate rosé that’s dry, fruity, and perfect for summer sipping.
