The Founding Story of Canned Wine Co.
Founded in 2019 by Ben Franks and Simon Rollings, Canned Wine Co. offers premium European wines in single-serve, recyclable cans - not to replace bottles, but to provide a fresher, waste-free alternative when a full bottle doesn't fit. From Harrods shelves to international awards, their wine-first approach shows that great wine can be genuinely convenient.
Meet the Winemakers Behind Canned Wine Co.

No.1 Organic Grüner – Markus Huber
Markus Huber has turned his family vineyard in Austria’s Traisental into one of the country’s most exciting wineries. After winemaking stints from Austria to South Africa, he’s mastered the art of Grüner Veltliner - fresh, crisp, and full of character. It’s a perfect mix of tradition, terroir, and a modern touch.

No.1 Sparkling Chardonnay – Tre Secoli
Tre Secoli has been bringing Piedmont’s winemakers together since 1887, making it the region’s largest and one of its most respected co-ops. Under the guidance of Elio Pescarmona, they blend centuries of know-how with a modern approach to craft award-winning sparkling Chardonnay and other Italian favourites.

No.2 Organic Viognier – Famille d’Exéa
Famille d’Exéa has been rooted in Southern France for over 200 years, farming organically across vineyards, olive groves, and grains. Led by Aymeric, the estate blends tradition with a modern, community-oriented spirit, while a young team crafts wines that embody both heritage and innovation.

No.3 Grenache Rosé – Thierry Boudinaud
Thierry Boudinaud comes from a winemaking family with roots in Southern France dating back to 1626 - but his wines are anything but old-fashioned. At Vignobles Boudinaud, he blends tradition with modern know-how to create a Grenache Rosé that’s elegant, aromatic, and seriously easy to fall for.

No.4 St Laurent – Walter & Family Glatzer
Walter Glatzer helped put Austria’s Carnuntum region on the map with his focus on quality and proper hands-on vineyard work. Now, his kids Mathias and Hanna are carrying the torch, crafting expressive St Laurent that shows off the family’s passion (and the region’s character) in every glass.

No.5 Old Vine Garnacha – El Escocés Volante
Nicknamed the Flying Scotsman, Master of Wine Norrel Robertson swapped Scotland for the sun-baked hills of Aragón, where he and his family tend old-vine Garnacha. At his winery, El Escocés Volante, he crafts bold, authentic wines that capture the wild character of Calatayud’s rugged landscape.
