Inside our monthly wine subscription: September 2025

Welcome to your insider notes on the wines we’re featuring in this month’s Vinito subscription. We’ll go through each of the 6 cans in September’s box along with some delicious food pairings. Let us know if you try any of these!

1. Hands Off The White Wine, Castilla, Spain

A 250ml can of white wine made from Xarel·lo, Sauvignon blanc and
Macabeu grapes from Spain produced by Hands Off.

  • Tastes like: zesty citrus, fresh pineapple and a touch of natural flair
  • Pairs with: sushi, seafood or anything light and herby. See the Snack Hack below for more inspo.
  • Insider intel: A blend of old-vine Sauvignon Blanc, Xarel·lo and Macabeu - three grapes with plenty of character, canned with minimal fuss. That’s what makes it ‘Hands Off’ (pun very much intended). Macabeu is one of the classic grapes used in Spanish Cava, so if sipping this is giving you a hint of sparkling-wine freshness, you’re not imagining it.
  • Snack hack: Hands Off The White Wine + prawn crackers (with a squeeze of lime, if you’re feeling fancy) = salty, zesty, moreish perfection.

2. Krakat'inii Sauvignon Blanc, Leyda, Chile

Sauvignon Blanc canned white wine

  • Tastes like: green apple, zesty lime with a serving of grass on the side
  • Pairs with: goat's cheese, shellfish and a cult-classic – fish and chips
  • Insider intel: Sauvignon Blanc from Chile is known for its vibrant, slightly grassy edge – perfect if you want something lively without being overpowering. This one is crisp, clean, and perfect, both on its own and with food.
  • Snack hack: Speaking of food – you’ve got to try sea-salted popcorn with this. It’s unexpectedly addictive. If you’re feeling adventurous, you could even drizzle some over ceviche for a light, zesty kick.

Stock up on the zesty Sauv

3. Copper Crew Fiano, Italy

The Copper Crew Fiano – Aromatic canned white wine with floral and peach flavors

  • Tastes like: bright, tropical, and fresh with blossom, apple, and lychee notes - instant Italian sunshine in a can
  • Pairs with: picnic picks, cured meats, creamy pasta, pork dishes, or a rich seafood chowder. Perfect for snacking your way through a summer afternoon.
  • Insider intel: This Fiano is fermented in steel tanks and rested before canning, so every sip bursts with fruit freshness.

4. Laylo Luberon Rosé, France

Laylo Luberon Rosé – Provence-style canned rosé with strawberry and redcurrant

  • Tastes like: delicate strawberries and redcurrants with a hint of mouthwatering acidity - classic Provençal vibes.
  • Pairs with: seafood, sunset, or any chilled moment that deserves a pink pour.
  • Insider intel: Mother-daughter duo Anne-Marie & Camille Bagnis restored an 18th-century château and nurtured these vines back to life. This is usually cellar-door exclusive, but we snagged a special parcel just for you.
  • Snack Hack: Laylo Luberon Rosé with lightly salted almonds = bliss.

5. Italia Pinot Nero, Pavia, Italy

A 250ml can of Pinot Nero red wine from Italy, elegantly packaged in a can for convenient enjoyment on the go.

  • Tastes like: Bear with us on this one — at tastings, people have described it as “raspberry yoghurt” or even Ribena. Fruity, approachable, and easy to sip
  • Pairs with: Pinot Nero (a close relative of Pinot Noir) is famously food-friendly. Surprisingly versatile, it can even work with salmon, but we love it alongside mushroom or duck dishes. See below for a dreamy mushroom risotto recipe.
  • Insider intel: This lighter-bodied red is perfect for chilling. (Something we’re getting into during this ‘shoulder season’ of Summer/Autumn.) Pop it in the fridge for 10 mins before serving and let us know what you think.
  • Food pairing: We cannot take credit for this deliciousness; it’s all by Lina, one of our favourite Italian spots in London. 👉 Try this Porcini Mushroom Risotto Recipe.

6. Wallflower Red, La Mancha, Spain

Wallflower's Red Wine from La Mancha, a Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon blend with blackberry fruit and a smooth finish.

  • Tastes like: a wheelbarrow of juicy blackberries, with a smooth, spice-edged finish — fun, fruity, and utterly moreish.
  • Pairs with: grilled meats, tapas, or cosy nights in with bold flavours.
  • Insider intel: A blend of Tempranillo & Cabernet Sauvignon crafted purely for deliciousness. Think of it as the wine that never takes itself too seriously.
  • Food pairing: Bring a taste of Spain to your home with this easy chorizo and baked feta recipe from gemtakesfoodpics on TikTok

Frequently asked questions about the Vinito wine subscription

What is the Vinito monthly wine subscription?

Vinito is a monthly canned wine subscription based in the UK. Each month, founder Louisa hand-picks six canned wines from producers around the world - typically a mix of whites, rosés and reds from regions including Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Chile, Austria and more. Every box comes with tasting notes written by Louisa, food pairing suggestions, and recipe links so you can get the most from each wine. It's designed for people who love discovering new wines without the pressure of committing to a full bottle.

How much does the Vinito subscription cost?

A monthly subscription is £38 per month. You can also order a one-off box for £40 without subscribing. Subscriptions can be paused or cancelled at any time.

Why canned wine?

Canned wine gets a bad reputation it doesn't deserve. The wines in each Vinito box are the same quality you'd expect from a bottle - often from small, independent producers with real stories behind them. Cans are better for the environment than glass, more practical for picnics, garden evenings and festivals, and they mean you can enjoy a single glass without worrying about finishing a bottle. It's wine that fits around your life.

Is a Vinito subscription good for wine tasting at home?

Yes - it's one of the easiest ways to do structured wine tasting at home without any expertise required. Because each box contains six different wines with tasting notes and food pairings, you can work through them properly: taste each one, compare them, try the suggested pairings. No specialist kit needed. Just six cans, some snacks, and a bit of curiosity.

Can I buy a Vinito box as a wine gift subscription?

Absolutely. A Vinito subscription makes a brilliant gift — especially for wine lovers who are curious about canned wine, people who live alone and don't always want to open a full bottle, or anyone who likes discovering new wines without the faff. We offer gifted subscriptions alongside personal ones. Find out more about gifting a Vinito subscription →

What makes Vinito different from other wine subscription boxes in the UK?

Most wine subscription boxes send bottles. Vinito sends cans - which means more flexibility in how and when you drink your wines and a lighter environmental footprint. Every wine is personally chosen by Louisa, with tasting notes she writes herself rather than copy-pasted producer descriptions. It's a more personal, more curious, more fun take on the wine subscription model.
